All our members enjoy a rich culture and the proud tradition of Surf Life Saving here in the City of Bunbury SLSC, and you to can be a part of this fantastic club and the Surf Life Saving movement.

Wearing the traditional red and yellow colours, the City of Bunbury SLSC prides itself on our excellent service to the Bunbury community.

Education, competition and community service are all on offer to you as a member of our club. The information contained in this website will hopefully provide you with a general overview of all club activities, if you have any queries or for more information please contact our members service officers.

Becoming a member of our great club will provides you with the privilege to become a true Aussie, Surf Lifesaver in the City of Bunbury SLSC.

I hope the friendships and skills you gain over your time with us grow, and last a life-time. Remember, you will never be alone wearing the black, white and burgundy colours of this great club, and the red and yellow colours of Surf Life Saving.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Dinner on the Deck from 5:30pm all Summer. The Bar and Merchandise Store will be open. Join us for a meal or drink and be in with a chance to win the Members Draw - must be there to win!

9.30–11am during Nippers. No prior training needed — just be a current member but you must be able to attend both sessions.

Register on the whiteboard in the Surf Club hallway. $10 fee may apply.

Every member holding an award with a CPR element must complete the Lifesaving CPR Skills Maintenance each season. This is a two-part process, including: Online theory through the SLS HUB (Members can access the eLearning through the Applications Tab > Training Library > and complete the appropriate 2025 Skill Maintenance Online Course) and face-to-face during a skills maintenance session. Bunbury SLSC offers 3 sessions free to members. A 3rd date is yet to be confirmed.

The City of Bunbury Surf Live Saving Club was founded in 1915 and was the second club founded in Western Australia (Cottesloe SLSC was first in 1909). Since those early days members have volunteered countless hours of Surf Patrol duty to keep Bunbury’s beaches safe for swimmers and surfers. Members have performed numerous rescues and attended to thousands of major and minor first aid incidents. The City of Bunbury SLSC is one of 315 Surf Life Saving Clubs in Australia with a total membership of over 181,603 members. We are affiliated with Surf Life Saving Western Australia (SLSWA).

OUR SPONSORS

Our club relies solely on funds raised through memberships, donations, grants and sponsorship to provide its education, training, prevention and rescue services to the public and members. As a volunteer run club, the vital community service our club provides is just that, voluntary.

Our sponsors directly contribute to the provision of lifesaving equipment and training, volunteer beach patrol surveillance, surf awareness and safety education to young children, surf sports skills, fitness and youth development and leadership opportunities.
